Metrans drivers operate as independent owner drivers. You run your own business and provide delivery services using your own or an approved accessible vehicle.
What vehicles does Metrans work with?
Opportunities range from sedans and wagons to 1–2T vans and trays, 4–10T trays and tautliners, and 12T trays and tautliners. Demand varies by location and customer requirements.
Does my vehicle need to be white?
Yes. Owner drivers need to own or have access to a clean, reliable white vehicle that is suitable for the work being offered.
Are permanent runs available?
Yes. Metrans recruits owner drivers for permanent runs as well as flexible point-to-point work. Availability depends on vehicle type, location and current customer demand.
What documents and standards will I need?
Be ready to provide an ABN and the licences, registration and insurance appropriate to your vehicle and work. Safe driving, reliability, professional presentation and good customer service are essential.
